The National Reconstruction Fund Corporation (NRFC) is Australia’s sovereign investor in manufacturing capability. The NRFC exists to facilitate increased flows of finance into 7 priority areas of the Australian economy to transform and diversify Australian industry.
The NRFC’s Value-add in Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries priority area allows us to invest in businesses and activities that add value to agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector by manufacturing products for use in or in connection with primary industries or processing primary industry outputs into higher value goods.
This includes manufacturing in, but not limited to, the following sectors:
- agricultural equipment
- technologies to manage crop, tree and animal health
- improved storage solutions that extend product life
- manufacturing food, beverages, timber and fibre products that are processed from primary industry output
- biofuels
- bioplastics
- agro-processing technologies
- sustainable aquaculture
- specialised fertilisers and agricultural chemicals
